Baldwin Family Village Now Open!

The Dumas Wesley Community Center and the Baldwin Family Village Foundation are proud to announce that we are officially OPEN! Our compassionate team have six assessments today and 32 individuals on a waiting list who hail from Baldwin County. If you are in housing crisis, or you know of a single woman or mother with children who is experiencing homelessness, please contact Amy Abernathy, Director of the Baldwin Family Village at 251-210-4045 or email abernathy@dumaswesley.org for further information on eligibility requirements and application. https://www.dumaswesley.org/baldwinfamilyvillage/

A dedication ceremony took place on Sunday, April 22, led by Dr. Darren McClellan, Senior Pastor of Fairhope United Methodist Church and Board Member of the Baldwin Family Village Foundation. Supporters had the chance to tour the beautiful 13-unit facility that is expected to house approximately 100 homeless women and children annually. “We are so grateful for our generous donors and the support of the community for helping bring this program to life,” said Kate Carver, Executive Director of the Dumas Wesley Community Center. “With the continued reality of affordable housing shortages and higher rates of eviction, we know that housing services are needed now more than ever. We’re honored to be able to extend our services to meet this need in Baldwin County,” said Carver.
